The Afters成立於德州的一個名叫Mesquite的城市

由Joshua Havens,Matt Fuqua兩個主唱兼吉他組成,他們是一起在星巴克打工時認識的
後來貝斯手Brad Wigg和鼓手Marc Dodd也隨之加入
樂團名字取名叫Blisse(夠基督教吧)
在2001發行了第一張專輯名叫When the World is Wonderful
後來發現有個團跟他同名以後便改為The Afters
2005年換了唱片公司
發行第二張專輯I WISH WE ALL COULD WIN
片中單曲8th and Ocean還被當作之前電影Just My Luck的曲目之一
